Description: This 19th century English carved oak Welsh hutch showcases richly grained oak and intricately pierced, scalloped fretwork that gives the piece an exceptional decorative character. The upper plate rack features two open display shelves framed by wavy-cut side supports, while the lower base offers three dovetailed drawers fitted with brass swan-neck pulls and a matching carved apron. Turned baluster legs and a slatted pegboard base adds both stability and extra display space. The two-piece construction allows the top to lift free of the base making this substantial piece surprisingly easy to place. A striking statement for a dining room, kitchen, or island showcasing the kind of hand-carved craftsmanship rarely found today.
Size: 65.5w x 35d x 81.75h
Condition Notes: Wear is consistent with age. The fretwork is missing a small section, as shown in the photos.
