The cut of the original marble top is not perfectly straight along the back edge, as shown in the photos, but this does not affect the stability or function of the piece. Age-related cracks are present on both sides of the chest, and there are a few missing trim pieces, as shown in the photos. These imperfections are consistent with the age of the piece and contribute to its authentic antique charm.
